The Bronze Age covers the period from the 2nd to the 1st millennium BC. It was an important period in human history, lasting for about two thousand years and marking a time of significant development and change.
People learned to produce bronze, an alloy of copper and tin. They used it to make various tools, weapons, and ornaments.
In front of you is the Baganaly burial ground. The dead were buried lying on their side in a bent position. There was a belief that after death, a person should rest in the womb of Mother Earth in the same way as they had lain in their mother’s womb before birth.
If the deceased was a man, he was buried together with his weapons and military equipment. Women were buried together with their ornaments and jewellery.
The exhibition also presents stone tools dating back to the Bronze Age, including hammers, axes, hoes, and arrowheads. You can also see a bronze bracelet, as well as various grain grinders and grain-pounding tools.
